For Colleagues
A note to my fellow clinicians.
Whether you are already practicing integrative medicine, exploring what it means in clinical practice, or simply looking for a partner you can trust with your complex patients — I'd welcome the conversation.
Integrative medicine works best when it is connected to a broader clinical community. Scroll down to tell me where you are and what you're looking for.
Background
Triple board-certified. Fellowship-trained by Dr. Andrew Weil.
I am board-certified in Neurology, Integrative Medicine, and Obesity Medicine. My fellowship training was at the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine under Dr. Andrew Weil — one of the most rigorous integrative medicine training programs in the country.
My Neurology background is not incidental to my integrative work — it shapes it. The nervous system is where the stress response originates, where hormonal signals are integrated, and where the clinical picture comes together. I apply that lens to every patient I see.
I founded Meliora to practice the way I was trained to practice: root-cause, evidence-informed, and deeply personalized. If that framework resonates with you — whether you're already there or working toward it — I'd like to connect.
For Physicians
Whether you're in integrative medicine or not — there may be a way to work together.
I am open to connection with physicians across specialties — internal medicine, family medicine, OB-GYN, psychiatry, neurology, and others. What matters is that you take a thoughtful approach to your patients and are looking for a partner who does the same.
Referral partnership
If your patients are experiencing symptoms that fall outside the scope of conventional care — hormonal, metabolic, neurological — we welcome collaborative referrals. We communicate findings back to you and return patients to your ongoing care.
Remote co-management
For clinicians practicing outside the Chicago area, remote consultation and co-management of complex hormonal and metabolic cases is available. We can function as a specialized layer of your existing care team.
Integrative medicine mentorship
If you are transitioning into integrative medicine from a conventional background, Dr. Chua is open to mentorship conversations — sharing the clinical framework, the Meliora Method, and what it looks like in practice.
In-person at Evanston
Clinicians interested in joining or working alongside Meliora in our Evanston, Illinois office are welcome to reach out. We are open to exploring what that collaboration might look like.
For Nurse Practitioners
Dr. Chua has trained NPs. She is looking for more.
Nurse practitioners bring clinical depth, patient rapport, and a scope of practice that is well-suited to integrative medicine. Dr. Chua has worked directly with NPs throughout her career — training them in hormonal and metabolic medicine — and is actively interested in expanding those partnerships, both remotely and in Evanston.
A physician who has trained NPs
Dr. Chua has direct experience working with and training nurse practitioners in integrative and hormonal medicine. She understands the NP scope of practice deeply — and the clinical gaps that integrative training fills.
Remote partnership
NPs interested in collaborative remote practice — co-managing patients, protocol oversight, or mentorship in integrative hormonal medicine — are encouraged to connect. Geography is not a barrier to working together.
Join us in Evanston
NPs interested in practicing integrative medicine in-person at our Evanston office are welcome to inquire. We are a small, clinical practice with a clear methodology and a focus on doing excellent work.
What happens after you reach out.
Dr. Chua reviews physician and NP inquiries personally. If there's a fit, she will follow up directly by email or phone — typically within two business days. There is no obligation and no sales process. It's a conversation.
